Through the Temple Doors
Stepping...
Closer to the Lord's house...
A sanctuary of light.
Every footstep
Shedding trials, hurt, and fear.
Melting away all worldly things,
And filling hearts
With the sweet Spirit of our Lord;
That comforts, strengthens, and lifts one up.
The temple is a calm and cool serenity,
A peace within one's heart.
Inside the temple walls there dwells
Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
There's a hero
Hidden where you least expect
Waiting for the chance to be revealed
He's always watching
For the day you cannot stand
To bring you to your feet
There's a hero
Arms open embrace
To comfort you when darkness falls around
By the expression on your face
And the shining in your eyes
He nows what's written in your heart
Compassionate with love
He calms a crying a heart
To dry your tears and make you smile again
for my hero, who knows who he is
The Grey Havens
Over stream and under stars,
All elven paths lead last to one,
Wand'ring wilderness alone,
'Till at last to journey's end.
Though time doth heed elves not,
Years at last have taken toll,
One place under Sun and Moon,
One place left that they may go.
The Sea, the Sea!
O' Havens grey,
Undying lands beyond,
When Middle-Earth at last forsaken,
To Valinor, Aman the Blessed.
Broken
You whisper softly to me,
As you're crying in your heart.
And you'd love to see a change made
But you don't know where to start.
And you wonder why you're trying,
When there's nothing left to say.
What's the point in all this anger?
You're still falling anyway.
You never knew he loved you,
With his voice as cold as stone.
But if you only had looked deeper
You wouldn't have to be alone.
And you wonder why you're fighting,
Just to surface in this place.
There's no point to all your fire,
Cause the tears all blur your face.
With a song so sweet with sorrow,
That it's tearing you inside.
There's no accounting for repentance
For all the times you've lied.
And you wonder why you're crying,
When there's nothing left to do.
You should have never let your heart free,
It's been broken into two.
I will rise above the mortal world,
Toward the endless pow'rs beyond,
To bring and bind the lives of men,
Into a dark and lasting, infinite bond.
I will rule the earth with mastery,
The uncontested king.
The might of Mordor and all without:
I'll keep the Ring until I die-
I'll keep the Ring.

Hush Little Child
Hush little child,
And sleep tonight,
The moon is glowing,
The stars are bright.
Sleep dear one,
And be not afraid,
These are the words,
The angels bade.
"Goodnight," sing the stars,
"Sleep well," soothe the clouds,
And fall asleep,
To these heavenly sounds.
Joltin' Joe
Out of the dugout,
And onto the field,
He stepped up to bat
And the wild crowd cheered.
The pitcher wound up,
And stared at him hard-
But he couldn't catch Joe
Off his resolute guard.
The pitcher let loose;
The ball flew threw the air.
After a resounding bat's crack,
The ump cried it was fair.
Joe rounded the bases
While the fans yelled and screamed.
Their star Yankee Clipper
Was all that he seemed.
He never said much-
Just a nod or a grin-
But with Joe in the outfield,
The Yanks knew they could win.
Just a kind, quiet man,
With a knack for the game.
Just the star of a nation,
And the great Hall of Fame.
He'll live on in the memories
Of the time long ago,
When America's hero
Was Joltin' Joe.
We Are Not Afraid
Give up, lose, succumb to temptation's pow'r,
There are a thousand reasons every day,
All of the time, more fall under the devil's hand.
And more of His children are lost astray.
But we shall overcome his lengthening hold,
We will not falter along the path,
We know we must win this age-long war.
We will fight the tempter with all we hath.
With eternal perspective we shall see,
Beyond worldly things that cloud the minds,
We shall save ourselves from the depths of darkness,
And break others free from the clutching binds.
We will go forth with spirit and vigor,
The path to lead the righteous has been laid,
On it we will return home victorious,
Because we are not afraid.

You brighten my day with the rays of your light,
Your soft, kind words take away my fright,
Your loving example taught me what was right,
That's what you mean to me.
You gave me courage when I stood alone,
You kept me learning, even when I was grown,
When I dreamed I was a princess, you gave me a throne,

Don't Lose Your Sparkle
I hope you never give up when you think you're beaten,
And let others lead you down the trodden path.
I hope you find the joy in always serving others,
And always give love dominion over wrath.
I hope you never lose your child-like love for flowers.
I hope you always love to listen to the sea.
I hope you realize the beauty of your sparkle,
And above all that you do, I hope you're free.
I hope you always take the time for contemplation;
I hope you never sit and watch when you could dance.
I know that living in this world isn't always easy,
But never be too scared to take a chance.
I hope you won't forget that someone always loves you;
I hope you give until you can't give anymore.
And no matter what you do, don't lose your sparkle,
Cause that's what living in the world is really for.
Come and be my knight in shining armor,
Come and sweep me off my feet.
Tell me tales to dazzle me,
Be the reason my heart beats.

Where we'll never be apart.
Romance me with a smile,

Magic In Forgiveness
I can't excuse my actions,
I can't claim not to have been wrong,
But rejecting the light of forgiveness,
It's a bitter, painful song.
And when there's nothing left,
No room for hate or love,
It's the only thing that can dig you out,
A peace-bringing, healing dove.
There's magic in forgiveness,
If it's truly from the heart,
And because we are not perfect,
That's where we need to start.
It's been a long time since I've seen Him,
I've forgotten all that I knew,
But I'll strive to live His commandments,
I'll be virtuous, honest, and true.
I'll pass by the things of the devil,
Unto the Gospel I promise to cleave,
I'll repent, I'll pay tithing, I won't let Him down,
I'll be a light for the world; I won't leave.
I'll go to my meetings,
I'll do what is right,
I'll be the Lord's witness,
I'll live in His light.
I won't let my guard down,
Temptation's I'll spurn.
And I promise the Lord,
That I will return.

I Glory In Him
I glory in His love for me-
His ever-lasting light,
Which shines on me and shows the way
Throughout the bitter night.
I glory in His comforting,
In all He soothes for me;
In His promise to never forsake me soul,
But in trials, help me see.
I glory in His sacrifice
To take away my sin;
Redeeming me from ache and pain,
Releasing beauty locked within.
I glory in His perfect soul-
And I strive to live as He;
To return again to my heavenly home,
For all eternity.
Golden
She's golden and she's glowing,
There's a brilliant spakle in her eye,
Her smile's a radiant sunbeam,
She's spiritually high.
She loves her Savior, Christ, the Lord,
She loves her fellow man.
She wants to share His light with them,
She's doing all she can.
She's dancing in heart,
Her spirit's flying free,
She's golden and she's glowing,
She's rejoicing joyfully.
Meant To Be
It all takes time, in this mad realm called life
To recover from a staggering blow-
That laeves you feeling alone and deserted,
And the truth is something you don't think you still know.
The world is crashing at your feet,
And you think you'll never again see the light.
But somehow, there's someone waiting for you,
Who knows how to guide you out of the night.
They're waiting to give the love you need,
And maybe a laugh or a smile-
To help you find the sparkle you've lost,
And take your mind of the hurt for awhile.
There'll be someone waiting to hold you,
To lift your spirits and help you to see:
In this mad realm called life, you're never truly alone-
Because some things were just meant to be.
Down On My Knees
There are times when the world is enough,
To make you want to give up at the end of the day.
The tempations and trials are too much to bear-
But I know there's one person who can take that away.
I get down on my knees and I pray to my Lord
That His Spirit will comfort and strengthen my soul;
That He'll lighten the burdens that are weighing me down,
And I'll feel His love for me all around.
Sometimes I feel I'm lost in the fold,
And others don't notice I'm here.
But the shepherd is waiting when I'm crying inside:
To guide me, and love me, and quiet my fears.
And I get down on my knees and I pray to my Lord
That His Spirit will comfort and strengthen my soul;
That He'll lighten the burdens that are weighing me down,
And I'll fel His love for me all around.
Then I feel Him encircle me in His arms,
And my tears are a witness to the love He has shown.
He heals my soul; calms my troubld heart,
And through the sweet Spirit, I'm not alone.
Exposed
You never bothered thinking,
About how I might feel.
You took my darkest nightmare,
And somehow made it real.
You still don't understand
Why I feel this way inside-
You ripped my heart apart
And stood laughing while I cried.
Exposed, I stood before you,
My soul bared for all to see.
And all that mattered maught to you-
But meant the world to me
Zion's Battle Youth
He's calling us to arms,
His cherished, valiant youth,
To go to battle, lacking fear,
And wield our mighty swords of truth.
Upholding all our values,
Our faith is firm and strong;
We'll stand for life, and love, and hope,
And make righteousness our song.
As Zion's youth, the pure in heart,
With honor we defend
The teachings of our Savior, Chirst,
Whom we'll follow 'til the end.
Narcissist
Sauntering through life,
Like the world is at your beck and call.
Trippin' up the rest of us,
Laughin' when we fall.
Conceited smiles of condescension-
There's nothing you can't take.
No one living tops you...
Deep inside you're just a fake.
You've directed your charismatic self
Towards your own personal perfection.
They rest of us know what's up:
You're headed in the wrong direction.
Continue where you're going,
Snubbing in that rancid tone,
You won't be the one left laughing
When you find yourself alone.
Dream
Wispy thoughts slide 'cross time
Where light is silver-cast and chill.
The magic of a world sublime
Just beyond my window sill.
With stars that gleam-
When angels sing-
And all the world's asleep,
-A background dark, and black, and deep-
It's there I dare to dream.
Something New
I've taken a vacation
On a sunny beach that's warm.
Usually
I'm hidden in some midden
To take refuge from your storm.
Was that a smile? A friendly look?
Or do my eyes deceive?
Ceaselessly when you're around
All I want to do is leave.
I think I heard a cordial word-
And from you they're always few.
I don't know why, I can't imagine...
But it sure is something new.
Magical Princess
Magical princess,
Your heart's made of gold.
Your smiles are amazing,
Your personality's bold.
Your countenance sweet,
Your laughter a song,
Magical princess-
You don't do anything wrong.
You're the dream of a prince,
The brightest star in the sky.

Angels All Around You
Angels all around you,
Holding out their hands
To catch you when you slip and stumble,
Guiding to the end.
Whispering in smoothing voices
To bring you to the light;
Shielding you from taint and evil,
Defending what is right.

They watch o'er you with love.
Hearts emblazed with truth eternal,
Sent from the One above.

A Miracle Unmanned
Earth is waking, warmth in-taking,
With sunny skies, a light blue wind.
Browns all fade; a new world made,
Green on blue, glows within.
Birds are singing, music ringing,
Drifting o'er the land.
Life anew, pure as dew,
A miracle unmanned.
Waves are crashing; rocks are smashing,
The violent thunder-song,
A slash of light, a seascape fight,
Release of winter's wrong.
Skies are clearing, the sun is nearing,
A soft lullaby choirs again,
Things are growing, somehow knowing,
Of that which escapes men.
Dance
Rhythm pounding in my ears,
Blood jumping to the beat,
Tempo throbbing though my body,
I'm off and dancing on my feet.
Moving with a passion,
Sliding 'cross the floor,
Performing for myself,
Just letting go to soar.
The racing of my heart,
There's no quenching fervor's fire.
With music pulsing through in air,
Now dancing a desire.
Beyond the Stars

Beyond the stars, above the clouds,
Where all is lit with eternal light.
A place where naught but angels sing,

He Brought Her Flowers
Sitting by a window, streaked with tears;
Reflected in the rain falling on the glass.
Silently alone, while her heart feels like it's breaking,
Searching for answers still unknown.
Mystified and lonely, and absolution vague,
As facets on a jewel, her emotion all betrayed.
The slightest noise will catch her ear,
And she turns to the hall at slow footsteps.
Her eyes are sore and bloodshot,
And she does not hearken what they say.
His coat is cold and dripping, and her rain-tears all arrayed,
On his face, expressing sorrow, for the he's been delayed.
His voice breaks before he's speaking,
And the words don't come out right,
He has no asnwers for her questions-
And just regret for all lost time.
In his hand he clutches flowers bought earlier that day,
And hands her all she need to know in the meaningful bouquet.
She Cries
She waits,
And she wonders why he isn't calling;
She waits,
And she wonders why he isn't there.
So many sleepless nights staring out of windows,
So many dreary days passing without a glance.
So many minutes ticking by without a sign
That he cares, or even think about her.
She sighs,
And keeps on living day to day;

And tries to pick up the pieces of her life.
So many days go by and she can't bear to think about him;
So many days go by and she can't bear to be apart.
And all the while she wonders what she's doing,
And why her beating is so confused.

For the way she wants his love to be;

Help Me, Dear Savior
When I'm traveling a path that is unrighteous;
When the darkness blinds my eyes and I can't see;
When I'm striving to do all I can - and fail,
O my Lord, please strengthen me.
Be my steady beacon; shine without an end,
Comfort me when I stand all alone.
Let me follow Thine example;
Help me follow Thee back home.
Show me all my weakness, that I may be refined,
Help me to know what Thou would have me do.
Let me listen to Thy Spirit that directs me where to go,

Through the storms of the living;
It's waiting to save you and me.

As it's calling you back to His House,
Where death is surpassed and families will last,
