Miracles on Maple Hill

Virginia Sorenson

Each season on Maple Hill is filled with miracles. When Marly, Joe, Mother and Father move into Grandma's old house in the country, the seasons take on new meaning. According to their neighbor Mr. Chris, the first miracle of the new year is when the sap begings to rise in the malple trees and it's time to make syrup. He takes Marly on an exploration of the countryside, looking for the many miracles that nature reveals. But without a doubt, the biggest miracle on Maple Hill is the change in Marly's father, who has returned from the war tired and cross. The beauty and power of nature rejuvenate him and bring a special happiness to the entire family.
