The House of Sixty Fathers

Meindert DeJong

During the Japanese occupation of China, a young Chinese boy named Tien Pao becomes separated from his family in a heavy rain when his sampan breaks loose from the mooring and he finds himself alone in Japanese territory with only his pig. His magnificent faith, tenacious courage and indestructible will illustrate the horror, terror and lonliness of war and its effects on humanity. Tien Pao's unwillingness to surrender his belief in the impossible aids him in his long, difficult journey back to China and his parents.
